Fresh concrete batched and mixed on your site, to the exact quantity and mix design your pour needs. You only pay for what you use — no waste, no part-load charges, no waiting for a drum wagon to get back to the depot.
What it is
Volumetric concrete is concrete mixed on site, not at a batching plant. Our volumetric mixer carries the raw materials — cement, aggregates, sand and water — in separate compartments on one lorry. When we arrive, the onboard computer batches and mixes the exact quantity and mix design your project needs, directly into your pour location.
Because the concrete is mixed fresh at the point of pour, there's no risk of it starting to set on the journey. And because we batch on site, you only pay for the concrete you actually use — if you need 3.2m³, that's exactly what we mix. There's no need to order a round number and pay for what gets sent back.
How it works
Our volumetric mixer arrives at your site with enough dry materials to mix up to roughly 8m³ of concrete in a single visit. The onboard batching system measures each ingredient to the correct proportions for your specified mix, adds the exact water content, and mixes it as it comes off the conveyor — straight to your wheelbarrow, pump or pour location.
If you're not sure how much concrete you need, use our concrete calculator to estimate the volume in cubic metres, then call us with the figure. We'll confirm the mix design and arrange a delivery time that suits your programme.

What we supply
Concrete for driveways — imprinted, brushed and power-floated finishes, laid to the correct fall with proper sub-base and reinforcement.
Strip and raft foundations for extensions, garages and new builds, poured to your engineer's specification.
Garage slabs, workshop floors, extension slabs and power-floated internal floors.
Commercial slabs, hardstanding and agricultural concrete for farm buildings, yards and livestock areas.
Supply & delivery
We run our own volumetric mixers rather than subcontracting the delivery, so the team that quotes your pour is the team that turns up on the day. Our yard sits in Brynmawr (NP23), which puts Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff, Newport and Bridgend within normal delivery range.
Because the lorry is effectively a mobile batching plant, we're not tied to a round number of cubic metres. You give us the volume and the mix, and we batch it as it comes off the conveyor. For larger pours we schedule consecutive loads so concrete keeps arriving fresh instead of sitting on site going off.
Where we deliver
We deliver volumetric concrete across South Wales from our Brynmawr depot — including Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Abergavenny, Pontypridd and the wider Valleys. Not sure if we reach you? Check your area or just call.
Abergavenny and the Usk Valley are among our strongest delivery areas for volumetric concrete, with regular pours in the town and the villages around it — including Raglan, Crickhowell and Monmouth. We also deliver down the Ebbw Valley to Newbridge and Risca, and west as far as Neath.
Quantities
Because volumetric concrete is mixed on site, you only pay for what you pour — there's no need to order a round number and pay for the surplus. Use our concrete calculator to estimate the volume in cubic metres, or read our guide on how much concrete you need for worked examples.
If you're not sure, just call us with your dimensions. We'll confirm the volume, the mix design and a delivery time — and because we batch on site, we can adjust the quantity up or down on the day if conditions change.
Delivery
Once you've confirmed your quote, we schedule a delivery time that suits your programme. Our volumetric mixer arrives with enough dry materials for your pour — typically up to roughly 8m³ in a single visit. For larger pours, we schedule consecutive loads.
Before the delivery, check that the wagon can access your site. Our mixer is an 8-wheel lorry, so look out for narrow gates, overhead cables, low branches and weak drain covers. Read our concrete wagon access guide and our tips on preparing for your concrete delivery — and send us photos of the access with your quote request.
Ordering
We quote from the details you send, so the more you can tell us up front, the closer the price will be. There's no charge for a quote, and if you'd rather talk it through, call 01495 820164.
FAQs
Our mixer carries enough dry materials for roughly 8m³ in a single visit. For larger pours we schedule consecutive loads, so the concrete keeps arriving fresh instead of standing on site going off.
Because we batch on site you only pay for the concrete you pour, so nothing is wasted on a small job. Give us the volume and the location and we'll confirm what's practical for the visit.
We deliver across South Wales from our Brynmawr yard, including Cardiff, Newport, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Abergavenny and Ebbw Vale — see our areas we cover page for the full list.
Our mixer is an 8-wheel lorry, so gates, overhead cables, low branches, soft ground and parked cars all matter — the wagon needs firm, level ground to stand on while it batches. Our wagon access guide sets out what to check, and photos of the access with your quote request help us plan the delivery.
Tell us what you're pouring and we'll suggest a suitable mix, or send your engineer's specification and we'll batch to it. Our concrete mix designs page lists the mixes we supply and what each one is used for.
Tell us what you're pouring, where, and roughly how much — we'll batch the exact quantity on site and quote within 48 hours.
